Pastors' Talent Showcase

Pastors' Talent Show

Pastors onstage during the 2nd Annual Pastors' Talent Show.

The Naples Community has been delighted to see their doctors embrace the art of performance (for a good cause) in our annual Physicians' Talent Showcase.  Building on the success of this event, Founder Greg Billings and his Pastor, Dr. Bob Petterson, had a hunch that Naples would be equally enthusiastic about seeing their own religous clergy in a different kind of performance as well, and the first annual Pastor's Talent Showcase in May, 2008 proved them right!
The first annual Pastors' Talent Showcase took place at the Band Shell in Cambier Park, Naples.  The audience were delighted to see their Pastors performing talents they never knew they had! Eleven local pastors from eight area churches participated, and were backed up by local all-stars.  Together they performed rock, country, jazz, Latin, Broadway, praise, classical music, and even a comedy skit.

The Second Annual Pastors' Talent Show

On Saturday, April 25th  in the Gulf Coast High School Auditorium, 12 local pastors sang, danced, played, clowned aroundand even did stand-up comedy to raise funds for the Neighborhood Health Clinic and the  Steinway Piano Society’s Piano Bank.
The event was sponsored by Steinway  Piano Society and Praise FM, and was co-produced by Greg Billings and his wife Sara, a registered nurse.  To back up the Pastors, Billings re-united his 11 piece band, “Throat Culture,”  which included some of Naples’ finest musicians who donated their time and talent to support the cause.  According to Nina Gray, CEO of the Neighborhood Health Clinic: "The gifted   performers brought the audience to its feet clapping and cheering. . .  it was a  magical evening.  Psalm 100 best describes it: Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. Serve the Lord with  gladness."
