Florida Gulf Coast University
Renaissance Academy Piano Lab
Music makes kids happy, healthy
and wise. Studies have shown that playing a musical
instrument, especially piano, raises test scores, makes the
brain more efficient and increases the likelihood that kids
will stay away from drugs, alcohol and gangs. Further
research suggests that making music may also help us as we
age by reducing the chances of Alzheimer's and other age
related diseases. For more
