Florida Gulf Coast University Renaissance Academy Piano Lab

Music makes kids happy, healthy and wise.  Studies have shown that playing a musical instrument, especially piano, raises test scores, makes the brain more efficient and increases the likelihood that kids will stay away from drugs, alcohol and gangs.  Further research suggests that making music may also help us as we age by reducing the chances of Alzheimer's and other age related diseases. For more information on the amazing research on Music and Brain Development please visit http://www.amc-music.org/research_briefs.htm

Steinway Piano Gallery is dedicated to music education.  In conjunction with the Florida Gulf Coast University Renaissance Academy, we offer a place where university educators conduct group classes for children and adults.  We are proud to be home to one of the first "After School Group Piano" programs in the United States.

For more information on FGCU group piano lessons call the FGCU Renaissance Academy at 239-590-1095 or email  renaissance@fgcu.edu .

Since goal setting and performance is so important to growing a love of music, the Steinway Piano Gallery is available to local piano teachers for their recitals.  Since opening, thousands of students have performed their recitals her on legendary Steinway & Sons pianos, enriching their lives forever.

Finding the right teacher

Whether you've completed the FGCU beginners program or are a beginning or established student, you're going to need a great piano teacher. We maintain a teacher registry and can make referrals for your specific need. Call the gallery and talk to our educational coordinator or visit our "Teachers" section of our website.
