was the music director for a large Catholic church.

Mrs. Sherri Rampton starts all beginners in a group class of 2-4
children, which is 45 min. long (it includes theory, musical
games, and keyboard instruction), and she likes to
keep students in a group through the 3rd year of lessons.
Adults and more advanced students have private lessons, either
30 or 45 minutes long. Students play in at least 2 recitals
per year. Other options include participating in the Steinway
Piano Competition, or the Clavinova Festival sponsored by

About 5 years ago, I moved to Naples from New York, where I
grew up. I began teaching myself piano at a very young age,
and began formal instruction at age 9 on the trombone and at
age 11 on the piano. During high school I attended the
Pre-College program at The Juilliard School for trombone. I
went on to study trombone at the Eastman School of Music. I
majored in both Music Performance and Music Education, earning
my Bachelor of Music degree in trombone performance while also
studying piano secondarily there. I also obtained my New York
State teaching certification during my years there. I began
teaching piano at Daye Music (Naples) in January 2002, and I
teach band instruments elsewhere. I specialize in teaching
classical music to students from 7 years old to adults.
During my time in Naples, I have performed on trombone with
the Naples Philharmonic Orchestra, the Southwest Florida
Symphony Orchestra, the Sarasota Opera Orchestra, and the New
World Symphony.

away. Donald taught all ages and was capable of teaching beginner through Graduate
Level. He focused on teaching students how to play songs, from the
very first lesson. He taught in his home and in student's
home. He will be missed by many.
